Gordon Brothers Europe conducts nationwide store closures for the iconic V&D department stores group

Following recent closures of the V&D department stores nationwide, Gordon Brothers Europe was appointed to re-open all stores at the end of March and conduct closing down sales to sell the remaining eligible inventory, which remains in stores.

A massive nationwide logistical undertaking in re-establishing all necessary systems and procedures necessary to re-open the doors to the customer – all achieved in just over one week.

The closing down sales will run across a maximum four-week period in every store, with prices slashed in all departments, from clothing to homeware to stationery.  Customers can take advantage of this last chance to browse these iconic stores and pick up a bargain until final closures take place between 15th and 23rd April.

Gordon Brothers Europe will also manage the liquidation of eligible Fixtures Fittings and Equipment.

Established in 1887 in Amsterdam by Willem Vroom and Anton Dreesmann, these renowned and iconic departments store expanded rapidly throughout the 20th century and currently have 62 stores across The Netherlands.  Having undergone numerous changes of ownership and rebrands over the years, V&D declared bankruptcy on 31st December 2015.

Final closures of all V&D stores will take place between 15th and 23rd April 2016.
